4. Data Protection
Pursuant to Art. 13 of the Federal Constitution and the legal provisions of the Swiss Confederation on data protection, every person has the right to the protection of their privacy as well as to protection against the misuse of their personal data. The federal authorities strictly comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated with the utmost confidentiality and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. The federal authorities strive, in close cooperation with hosting providers, to protect their databases as much as possible against external intrusions, loss, misuse, and falsification. Alertswiss allows the input of personal data. This refers to information entered by the user into their emergency plan. These data are stored exclusively on the user’s computer, unless the user sends them to third parties. The Federal Office for Civil Protection cannot access users’ personal data. When accessing the Aflisa Sàrl website, the following data are recorded: IP address, date, time, browser request, as well as general information transmitted about the operating system or browser software. These data allow the federal authorities to carry out anonymized statistical evaluations in order to identify trends and improve their services accordingly. Under the Federal Act on the Surveillance of Postal and Telecommunications Traffic (SPTA), there is a legal obligation to retain connection data for at least six months. However, these rules do not apply to voluntary contact. When registering your email address, it is stored in a separate database that has no connection to the anonymous log files. You can cancel your registration at any time. The Federal Office for Civil Protection operates various accounts and profiles on social media (X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, Instagram, etc.), its own YouTube channels, and several applications. These sites and services are offered and managed by third parties. Each has its own privacy policy. Furthermore, third-party services such as YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Google Maps, Google Ads, Google Custom Search, Instagram, and Bitly are integrated into some of Aflisa Sàrl’s websites. These providers also use cookies. By using Aflisa Sàrl’s websites, users automatically transmit data to these providers. These situations are explicitly subject to the data protection rules of the respective providers. Users should be aware that data may be collected and passed on to third parties. If a user is simultaneously logged into an account with another service, the transmitted information may be directly linked to that account. Aflisa Sàrl has no influence over the collection and use of such data. It does not know the extent of the data collected, where it is stored, how long it is retained, whether possible deletion rules are respected, what evaluations and associations are made with such data, or to whom it is passed on. Main third-party services used on Aflisa Sàrl’s websites:
